What does freedom mean? According to the oxford dictionary, freedom as it were is the power or
right to act, speak,or to think freely. It is simply the state of being
free(i.e. Not under control or restriction, however the definition of freedom might vary depending on situation. To this end,we all seek freedom,we all want to set ourselves free from the restrictions placed on us by sometimes our guardians, parents, religions or religious leaders, teachers or who ever we are answerable to. We tend to do anything possible to see to it that we are free.including rebelling Against authorities.May I inform you that freedom, true freedom is not being away from law and order. It is not walking on the street without chains on our legs,it is not being able to say whatever we like. Although conventional freedom starts from there, but if you seek true freedom,it way more than that.
FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION ONLY? WHAT IS THE TRUEST AND GREATEST FREEDOM?
The greatest and truest freedom is what you feel when you are so honest that you have nothing to lose,no one to beg for pardon because you are right,no guilt, not because you are perfect but because you are good at making up for mistakes when they’re made. You look at your life and simile because you lead a life of honesty and humility. You can walk on the street and not an atom of fear is in you because you have no stains in your Heart nor have you hurt anyone. not only freedom of expression or freedom of speech.
The greatest and truest freedom is in the fact that nobody is after your life even after striking a mega millions deal,no one is after your success, achievements etc. You’re not having a suit to answer because you’re not a criminal.Freedom is what you feel when you discover your purpose and you go after it,overcoming hurdles after hurdles because the goal ahead ,outweighs the pain, shame and disappointments of the present.Freedom is not living a double life or living a lie. Freedom is discovering your real self and realizing who you really are. Freedom is loving yourself and realizing that no one would love you more than you love you,as Whitney Houston stated in her song “the greatest love of all…learning to love yourself,it is the greatest love of all” when you are free from all pessimism, all self limiting beliefs, all thoughts that can limit how far you can go in life, then you are free.and that my friend is the greatest and truest freedom, you have ,the ability to dream and think big, knowing fully well that its not every one who has such luxury, having and using it is freedom. Freedom is what you feel when you are not limited by religion, religious modernism or modernists, although you belong to a religion, you know the truth and you’re filled with eternal peace knowing you’re not wrong.
“FREEDOM IS THE GREATEST RESPONSIBILITY“
WHO CAN/SHOULD ENJOY FREEDOM .
In fact everybody can and should be free, freedom is not a right exclusive to only a few, once you have life you are entitled to and should seek it. You’re not free only when you’re free from prison, but when you have hope and even though in confinement, hope for the now and expectations for tomorrow.Freedom is a mindset, you don’t experience it because your account is fully loaded with dollar bills, or because you don’t have a penny to your name(I’ve seen people think they’re free being poor),its a state of mind that can be attained by any one at any time irrespective of the status. You are free when you sleep like a baby and wake like a king, without a start.

LITTLE THINGS THAT CAN STEAL OUR FREEDOM
Having mentioned above what true freedom is,we know then what steals our freedom. Whatever is the reverse of the aforementioned, what ever action brings about them, the same is the “thief of our freedom”.However, you should also know that its not limited to that. Our thoughts can also enslave us.Whatever thought you entertain and does not make you happy should be resisted like you would a plague. Our friends, neighbours, environment etc can also be a factor against our freedom.
